Position
Lead Solutions Specialist - Industrial Controls and Automation
Location
Houston, TX
Responsibilities
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the industrial automation market.
Technical Sales Support: Collaborate with account managers to identify opportunities, prepare proposals, and present technical solutions to customers.
Solution Development: Design and recommend automation solutions, including PLCs, drives, motion control, robotics, and industrial networking.
Customer Consultation and Support: Analyze customer processes, provide guidance and assist with product selection, application design, and troubleshooting.
Project Coordination: Work closely with vendors, integrators, and internal teams to ensure successful implementation and commissioning.
Training & Education: Conduct product demonstrations and technical training for customers and internal staff.
Market Intelligence: Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor offerings to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience: 10+ years in industrial automation sales or engineering; experience with end-users, OEMs and system integrators preferred.
Additional Requirements
Technical Skills: Knowledge of PLC programming, VFDs, motion control, and industrial communication protocols. Familiarity with automation platforms such as Rockwell, Siemens, Schneider.
Soft Skills: Strong communication and presentation abilities. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
