Job Overview
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and executing inbound and outbound logistics activities to support Gleason’s manufacturing and distribution operations. This role ensures the accurate, timely, and cost-effective movement of materials, components, and finished goods while maintaining compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Day In The Life
Receive inbound shipments safely by unloading, inspecting trailers and materials, and ensuring compliance with safety, loading standards, and CTPAT requirements.
Verify shipment accuracy by inspecting product condition and matching packing slips, invoices, and bills of lading to purchase orders in coordination with buyers.
Identify and resolve discrepancies by documenting damages, shortages, or overages, processing returns, RMAs, PPIs, and carrier claims, and communicating findings to leadership and partners.
Maintain accurate inventory by updating SAP and spreadsheets, performing inventory activities, and assigning materials to correct locations using RF equipment.
Prepare and ship outbound orders by ensuring product accuracy, labeling, carrier compliance, coordinating truck loading, and scheduling pickups to meet customer requirements.
Complete documentation and support operations through audit tasks, reports, effective communication with internal and external partners, housekeeping, 5S standards, and other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Requirements
Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Two years of relevant experience preferred.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficiency in relevant systems and software.
