Job Description
Work Schedule: PRN
Verify patient insurance eligibility and benefits and obtain required pre-authorizations.
Register patients accurately, collecting and confirming demographic and insurance information.
Estimate patient financial responsibility and collect payments or arrange payment plans.
Ensure Medicare compliance, including issuing Advance Beneficiary Notices of Noncoverage (ABNs) when required.
Coordinate communication across clinical and access teams while providing excellent customer service and documenting all interactions.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of Microsoft programs and familiarity with database programs
Ability to effectively learn and perform multiple tasks, and organize work in a systematic and efficient fashion
Understanding of HIPAA privacy rules and ability to use discretion when discussing patient-related information that is confidential in nature as needed to perform duties
Knowledge of computer programs and electronic health record programs
Experience in Customer Service related field
Exceptional customer service skills
Education:
Associate [Preferred]
High School Grad or Equiv [Required]
