- Shift Schedule:
- Day shift: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM
- Evening call: 4:00 PM - 8:00 AM
- Weekend: 24-hour call
- Reason for Coverage: Gap in schedule
- Facility EMR: Epic
- Board Certification - Board Certified (IR) - REQUIRED
- North Dakota License - Highly Preferred
- IMLC - REQUIRED if ND license is not active
- ACLS & BLS - REQUIRED
- IR Residency or Fellowship - REQUIRED
Core Interventional Radiology Procedures:
- Diagnostic & therapeutic vascular interventions (angiography, angioplasty, stenting, thrombolysis, embolization)
- Non-neuro interventional procedures
- Vascular access devices, central lines, PICCs, port-a-cath insertions
- IVC filters, TIPS, percutaneous biopsies (above/below diaphragm, bone)
- Aspiration/drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, abscess drainage
- Pain management, joint/epidural injections, vertebroplasty, arthrograms
- Percutaneous transhepatic cholangiogram, blood patch, chest tube insertion
- Uterine artery embolization, liver Y90/TACE, gastrostomy tube insertion, nephrostomy/ureteral stent insertion, renal fistulograms
- Cryoablation
Preferred but Not Required: Neuro (head) stroke thrombectomy
- Typical Procedure Volume: 10-15 per 8-hour day
- Diagnostics Reading: Not required between cases
- Call frequency varies; generally only for emergencies
- ND license required prior to start; credentialing paperwork must be completed before start
