Obstetrics & Gynecology Physician

We are seeking two Board Certified OB/GYN Physicians for a locum tenens assignment providing in house inpatient Labor & Delivery coverage. This position is not clinic based and not on call physicians provide scheduled, in house coverage only.

Night shift availability is required. All candidates must be willing and able to work nights.

Schedule Details:

• Two weekday shifts and two weekend shifts per week
• Coverage includes both day and night L&D shifts
• Typical shift structure:
  • Weekdays:
    • Days: 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
    • Nights: 5:00 PM 8:00 AM
  • Fridays:
    • Nights end at 7:00 AM
  • Weekends:
    • Days: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
    • Nights: 7:00 PM 7:00/8:00 AM

This is a high volume Labor & Delivery service with approximately 1,200 deliveries annually and an average daily census of 20 patients.

Clinical Responsibilities Include:

• Labor & Delivery coverage
• Postpartum care
• Emergent GYN OR cases
• Emergency Department consults

Physicians work alongside PAs and Certified Nurse Midwives (CNMs) who provide 24/7 unit coverage. PAs assist with admissions, H&Ps, orders, ED consults, and first assist in cesarean sections and GYN OR cases. CNMs manage and admit their own patients.
