Concord, Nashville, TN, United States
Concord is the world’s leading independent music company. The Company supports more than 125,000 artists and songwriters whose works are licensed, marketed, and performed globally. Concord's growing catalog of 1.3 million songs, compositions, sound recordings, films, plays, and musics is one of the most impactful and culturally relevant collections of creative rights in history.
Concord is headquartered in Nashville with additional offices in Los Angeles, New York, London, Berlin, Melbourne, and Miami.
The Publishing A&R department in Nashville is the primary liaison between the songwriters and the rest of the publishing company. We foster strong relationships with our writers and work to elevate their careers by setting up co‑writing sessions and pitching their songs to labels for artist projects. Additionally, the A&R team is responsible for bringing in new talent/signing opportunities to the company, delivering songs and metadata to all relevant departments, and managing deal terms, options and negotiations.
The Publishing A&R Intern role gives you a detailed understanding of the song “life” – from creation, to delivery, registration, licensing and finally, release/exploitation. You will experience firsthand how the A&R and Sync teams work together and assist each other to elevate the careers of the writers. Above all, we strive to exemplify Concord’s core values: to celebrate artistry, act with integrity, empower our community, and create opportunity.
Our paid internship program will give you a unique opportunity to enhance your professional skillset, increase your knowledge of the industry, and expand your network.
