A leading healthcare organization in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced
HR Project Manager / HR Project Lead
to support large-scale Human Resources initiatives. This role will focus on driving enterprise-level HR projects that enhance operational efficiency, standardize HR processes, and strengthen workforce strategy across the organization.
This is a highly collaborative role working closely with HR leadership, cross-functional teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of strategic HR initiatives. The ideal candidate brings strong project management expertise, experience navigating complex organizations, and the ability to lead both technical and operational HR projects.
Enterprise Project Leadership
Lead end-to-end planning and execution of complex HR projects across multiple departments.
Define project scope, timelines, milestones, resources, and deliverables.
Manage multiple concurrent initiatives while ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
Drive accountability and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
HR Process Improvement & Standardization
Lead initiatives focused on improving and standardizing HR processes, tools, and documentation.
Develop templates, frameworks, and best practices to support consistent project delivery.
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and operational effectiveness within HR.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Partner with HR leadership, HR Business Partners, Centers of Excellence, IT, Finance, and operational leaders.
Facilitate project governance, steering committees, and stakeholder communications.
Ensure projects remain aligned with policies, compliance standards, and organizational protocols.
Data Analysis & Reporting
Analyze workforce and operational data to inform project strategy and decisions.
Develop dashboards, metrics, and reports to track progress, outcomes, and risks.
Translate complex data into clear insights and recommendations for leadership.
Change Management & Communication
Support organizational change initiatives tied to HR projects and process improvements.
Prepare executive-level presentations, project updates, and communication materials.
Guide stakeholders through new processes, systems, and operational changes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.
3+ years of experience leading enterprise or cross-functional projects.
Demonstrated success managing complex projects in a matrixed organization.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Experience managing both technical initiatives (systems, data, reporting) and operational initiatives (process improvement, policy implementation).
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in a related field.
Experience working in healthcare, academic institutions, or large enterprise environments.
Experience supporting HR transformation, HR operations, or workforce initiatives.
Familiarity with HRIS or analytics platforms such as Workday, PeopleSoft, or similar systems.
Project management or HR certifications such as PMP, Agile, Prosci, or SHRM.
