Responsibilities Develop and design tooling solutions using NX or CATIA that meet production system requirements and enhance manufacturing efficiency.
Compile and analyze technical data to determine effects on product engineering design and production rate estimates. Identify and recommend robotics, automation, and technology solutions for tooling and equipment integration.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements throughout the tooling lifecycle.
Validate contractual performance milestones and maintain configuration control of tooling and equipment.
Conduct reviews and prepare plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spare parts management.
Provide training for production and maintenance personnel on tooling operation and maintenance.
Develop work-arounds and maintain configuration of hardware, software, and documentation related to tooling. Perform studies and make recommendations for the disposition of tooling assets.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited program in engineering, engineering technology (including manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5+ years of work-related experience with a Bachelors or 3+ years with a Masters, or work-related experience with a PhD.
Preferred:
NX design experience
3D modeling experience
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics, or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, standard.
