Indiana University Health South Region is part of the largest and most comprehensive healthcare system in Indiana. IU Health Bedford Hospital is seeking a nocturnist hospitalist to join the South Region Hospitalist group.

Position Details:

• Full-time, 100% inpatient at IU Health Bedford Hospital with small percentage of telehealth admissions to IU Health Paoli Hospital
• Excellent schedule of 7 on/14 off
• Role includes patient care with strong specialist support, admissions, consultations, cross coverage, codes, procedures (central lines, intubation); Open ICU
• Nocturnist medical specialty support including cardiology, gastroenterology, nephrology and general surgery. Teleconsultation available for neurology and psychiatry
• Average cross-coverage patient volume 35 (including virtual at Paoli Hospital); six combined ICU/PCU beds
• Opportunity for teaching medical students

Qualifications:

• Board Certified or Board Eligible Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (ABIM, ABFM)

IU Health Bedford Hospital employs the physician group practice, IU Health Southern Indiana Physicians, which is a multi-specialty practice providing medical services in internal medicine, family practice, general surgery, orthopedics, obstetrics and gynecology, and pediatrics. Nurse practitioners in adult and pediatric primary care have been added to expand medical care.
