Clinical Shift Schedule: 4 half-day clinics per week (7:00 AM 1:00 PM)

On-Call Shift Schedule: 24/7 call coverage for inpatient service and ED

Call Ratio: Continuous during assignment

Patient Demographics: Pediatric patients

Patient Volume/Census: 48 patients per clinic; 510 infusion patients per week; 03 inpatient consults per day

Case Mix: Pediatric hematology and oncology including infusion care and inpatient consults

Office Equipment Available: Infusion center and inpatient pediatric services

Specialty Backup Available: Endocrinology, nephrology, cardiology, and other subspecialties

Support Staff Available: 1 APP and infusion nursing staff

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses: State license required or willingness to obtain (IMLC or temp license accepted)

Board: Board Certified in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology

DEA: Required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Other Qualifications: Comfortable managing inpatient and infusion center pediatric oncology patients

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide outpatient pediatric hematology/oncology clinic coverage

Manage infusion center patients and treatments

Perform inpatient consults and participate in hospital service

Provide 24/7 call coverage for inpatient and ED needs

Perform required procedures including LP and bone marrow biopsy

Collaborate with multidisciplinary pediatric team

Maintain accurate documentation in Cerner EMR
