- Location: Margate, FL 33063 (Broward County, South Florida)
- Employment Type: Locum tenens / temporary anesthesia job
- Duration: 13 weeks
- Shifts per Week: 3
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM start; end time varies based on daily case completion (avg 40-45 hours/week)
- Call: Required - Weeknight beeper (1:8), weekend in-house/beeper (1:8)
- Minimum Shifts per Month: 20 (full-time coverage)
- Facility: 9 ORs + 2 OB ORs; specialty suites: GI, TEE, EP, IR
- Board Certified in Anesthesiology (required)
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as an anesthesiologist
- Active Florida medical license (or proof of application for FL compact license)
- Active DEA registration
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Ability to provide 24 months of case logs within 5 days of credentialing approval
- Clean background (no clinical, legal, or pending cases)
- 10 or fewer current affiliations
- Out-of-state candidates only (must provide copy of out-of-state driver's license)
- Full-time availability; must be available every week of the month
- Provide perioperative anesthesia care for general surgery, neuro, spine, thoracic, ortho, OBGYN, and pain medicine cases
- Perform OB anesthesia and basic regional blocks (TAP, supraclavicular, adductor canal, popliteal)
- Manage cases in specialty suites (GI, TEE, EP, IR) as an anesthesia provider
- Supervise residents and advanced practice providers (APPs) in the OR and OB (approx. 60% supervision/teaching)
- Perform independent cases (approx. 40% clinical case time)
- Participate in scheduled call coverage (weeknight beeper and weekend in-house/beeper)
- Collaborate with clinical leadership and maintain accurate anesthesia documentation
- Adhere to credentialing, compliance, and quality standards
