Cardiology - Interventional Physician

We re working with Baptist Health Paducah, a 373-bed acute care hospital, seeking an Interventional Cardiologist for locums coverage from May through August.

This is a 24-hour call model (7a-7a) with approximately 8-12 hours onsite daily, covering a mix of inpatient and outpatient responsibilities. Call includes both in-house coverage and emergency callback.

Clinical scope includes:

• Cardiac catheterizations
• Cardioversions
• TEE and TTE
• Structural cardiology exposure including TAVR and Watchman procedures in collaboration with CT surgery

Call and volume:

• STEMI cases average 1 every 1-3 days
• Consults range from 3-12 per day, typically around 8
• Rounding expectations typically fall within 8-12 hours during call

You ll be supported by a well-staffed team including:

• 9 NPs
• 4 RNs
• 20 MAs
• 12 office staff

Coverage is organized into defined blocks (commitment required prior to interview):

• May 4-10
• May 29-31
• June 1-7
• June 19-21
• July 3-12
• August 3-9
• August 28-30

Requirements:

• Board Certified Interventional Cardiology
• Active Kentucky license or IMLC
• ACLS and BLS

Compensation:

• $4500-$4800 per 24-hour call + callback
