In this role, you will evaluate, develop, and implement individualized treatment plans for patients across various settings, including inpatient rehab, acute care, outpatient, and skilled nursing facilities. Your expertise will help patients recover from surgeries, traumatic injuries, neurological conditions, and more, contributing to their improved mobility and quality of life.
Required Skills:
- Current Louisiana PT license
- Ability to manage a caseload independently across diverse patient types
- Experience with spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injuries, strokes, amputees, orthopedic surgeries, neurological conditions, and medically complex patients
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate within a multidisciplinary team
- Proficiency with EMR systems including Epic, Meditech Expanse, Wellsky, and AOD
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with pediatric, sports medicine, or higher-functioning neuro patients
- Prior travel therapy experience
- BLS certification
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
- Minimum of 1+ years of clinical experience in specialty settings
- First-time travelers considered based on skills and experience
Other Requirements:
- Valid driver s license and applicable insurance
- Willingness to attend hospital and departmental orientations
- No weekend coverage required; occasional IPR and acute care shifts (approx. 1 per month)
- No on-call duties or holiday work
- Available to start by March 9, 2026
- Comfortable working in pewter scrubs (inpatient) or professional attire (outpatient)
