Controls Design Engineer – Kansas City, MO – $25–$40/hr. + 100% Paid Medical + 401k

Position Details:
Title: Controls Design Engineer
Location: Kansas City, MO
Status: Full-Time | Office-Based with Field Visits
Ideal Candidate:
Experience working as a BAS Design Engineer or in a similar controls engineering role
Proficient with AutoCAD or MS Visio for control system layouts and design
Hands-on experience developing and modifying Tridium graphical user interfaces
Capable of creating and interpreting detailed Sequences of Operations (SOO)
Understanding of controls programming fundamentals and BAS troubleshooting
Strong documentation, communication, and technical writing skills
Comfortable conducting job walks and coordinating with contractors, engineers, and internal teams
Knowledge of building automation and energy management systems
Experience with ALC (Automated Logic) is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Design, draft, and manage BAS control system architecture from initial concept to project completion
Prepare detailed design packages, submittals, and documentation for installations
Develop graphical interfaces and assist with configuration of control software
Ensure design deliverables meet project timelines and technical standardsConduct on-site assessments and collaborate with engineering and installation teams
Compensation & Benefits:
Hourly Rate: $25.00–$40.00/hr. (DOE)
