
Lead Carpenter- Commercial Construction

Job Description
As a Project Engineer, you will support our experienced Lead Carpenter in various tasks such as measuring, cutting, painting, drywall finishing, assembling, selective demolition and installing materials.
This role has a large focus on Painting and a minor focus on other light carpentry tasks . You will also run and complete projects on your own as needed. You will gain valuable experience in the trade and have opportunities to advance your skills and knowledge in commercial carpentry.
Responsibilities
Assist with basic carpentry and painting tasks, including cutting, measuring, and fitting materials
Transport tools and materials to work sites
Maintain and clean tools and work areas
Follow safety guidelines and instructions from lead carpenters
Help with the assembly of wood structures and fixtures
Perform other duties as required by the Project.
Qualifications
Basic knowledge of carpentry tools and materials
Ability to lift at minimum 50 lbs and carry heavy materials
Good physical condition and ability to work in a variety of environments (indoors, outdoors, on construction sites)
Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions
Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn
Travel to New Jersey and Pennsylvania a few times a year
Required
Previous experience in construction, general contracting or similar
Valid driver's license
Job Details
Job type: Full-time, non-exempt.
Pay: $25-30 per hour.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM.
