A well-supported Emergency Medicine department in Bay City, MI is seeking a Locum EM Physician to provide onsite coverage during a recruitment gap. This role offers stable shift variety, strong team support, and full ED resources within a modern practice environment.

Rate Structure

• Hourly: $320/hr (Rate cap)

• Travel:

  • No flights

  • Lodging must follow policy

  • Tax-exempt lodging only

Clinical Environment

• Patients per day: 80 total

  • Approx. 1.8 patients/hour per physician

• Support Staff:

  • 12-hour APP coverage

  • Full ED nursing & tech support

  • Full radiology & lab onsite

• EMR: Cerner

• Adult & pediatric emergency care

• Newborn resuscitation

• Suturing, I&D

• Orthopedic (non-displaced fractures)

• Psychiatric (uncomplicated)

• Vent management

• Acute BP/volume management

• Central & arterial lines

• EKG interpretation

• Arthrocentesis

• Lumbar puncture

• Paracentesis

• Full EM procedural skill set

Submission Requirements MUST be included at name clear

• Board Certified EM OR IM/FM with 2+ years recent ED experience Required

• Michigan License Required (No IMLC)

• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Required

• Provider must be local (No exceptions)

• ️ Clean background for quick credentialing Required

• Rate submitted with name clear Required

• Exact availability for listed dates Required

Employee Health Requirements

• Flu vaccine ( season)

• COVID documentation or declination

• TB: 2-step within 12 months or Quantiferon within 6 months

• TB questionnaire

• Hep B: titer or declination

• MMR: vaccines or titers

• Varicella: vaccines or titers
