Role Overview
Our Fuel Management team is looking for a Managed Services Analyst I to provide fuel inventory management and accounting services for customers who outsource fuel management to PDI. The analyst will support fuel management, logistics distribution, and fuel reconciliation through our proprietary software, improving efficiency, reducing labor costs, and maintaining a competitive edge for our clients. Ideal candidates have experience in bookkeeping, accounting, data processing, dispatch, or bulk fuel operations.
Responsibilities: Bulk Fuel Inventory Management
Actively monitor designated customer’s tank readings
Plan deliveries based on current fuel levels and average daily usage
Monitor market direction and adjust delivery schedules to secure optimal purchasing opportunities
Schedule, coordinate, and manage fuel deliveries to customer locations
Build strong relationships with suppliers and carriers to support customers’ fuel management programs
Make fuel procurement or financial decisions efficiently and independently within established guidelines
Participate in an on‑call rotation requiring weekend and overnight availability
Responsibilities: Customer Service
Receive customer calls and emails, engaging with a warm, pleasant, and helpful attitude
Identify and resolve customer problems, maintaining communication throughout the process and escalating as necessary
Manage additional communication methods (e.g., text, chat) to schedule deliveries and ensure timely, accurate service
Responsibilities: Fuel Accounting Services
Review bulk fuel vendor invoices, correct errors, and dispute invoices on customers’ behalf
Work with vendors to resolve any disputed invoices
Ensure vendor invoices and related files are processed for payment in a timely and accurate manner
Process and manage vendor statements, ensuring vendors are paid on time
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in dispatch or fuel accounting
Petroleum experience preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite
Ability to multitask and make financial decisions in a fast‑paced environment
Demonstrated adaptability to a constantly changing environment
Strong communication skills with all stakeholders
Availability for nights, weekends, and on‑call support
Legal authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
