ROSEN is looking for an Inventory Specialist that will be based in Houston, TX. This position reports directly to the Head of Supply Chain and will be a part of the Supply Chain Management team.
Responsibilities
Receive, process, and stock inbound material orders from both domestic and international shipments.
Pick, verify, package, and hand-off material to the transportation department for shipment.
Process pick tickets for internal customers, including final posting of goods in SAP.
Assist shipping as needed with movement and preparation of ILI tools and parts.
Handle calls regarding material stock checks, with all details accurately recorded and transmitted.
Resolve problems that may arise concerning material stock inventory levels by interacting with shipping or Inventory Coordinator, Department Managers, as well as internal and external customers.
Perform other special projects as directed by department manager and/or upper management.
Place orders for stock replacements to maintain optimal inventory levels.
Utilize reports available in SAP to determine stock needs and place orders accordingly.
Perform cycle counts to ensure inventory system accuracy.
Assist with the preparation and execution of physical inventory.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 65 lbs. from a start height of 39 inches to an end height of chest level from the floor up to 7 times per hour.
Must be able to vertically transfer inventory weighing up to 26 lbs. from a start height from the floor to an end height of 85 inches from the floor up to 4 times per hour.
Must be able to transfer spare parts onto pallet jacks utilizing a mechanical device with a force up to 10‑27 lbs. over a distance of 25‑150 feet up to 1 time per hour.
Must be able to ascend/descend a flight of 17 stairs to load and unload inventory with a height of 6 inches from the floor up to 1 time per hour.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
3‑5 years of related experience and/or training is preferred.
Must have computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Able to lift a minimum of 65 lbs.
Experience with SAP is preferred.
Must be experienced in a fast‑paced, professional, customer‑service driven team environment.
Excellent knowledge and understanding of warehouse processes and procedures preferred.
Good analytical and communication skills both verbal and written.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, work procedures, technical instructions and technical references is a plus.
SAP MM experience preferred, but not required.
