Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, perform procurement transactions for goods and/or services ranging from standardized items to those of moderate complexity.
Conduct purchases through informal bidding procedures and firm fixed-price contracts.
Use standard clauses in accordance with statutes and regulations of the State Purchasing Bureau.
Work across departments to find creative solutions to procurement needs.
Cultivate partnerships with suppliers to ensure best quality at best value.
Actively manage the supply chain to prevent shortages and keep operations ahead of the curve.
Help DHHS staff understand procurement rules and regulations, translating their needs into the right products.

Adaptable and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Has experience in purchasing, sourcing, or vendor management.
Requirements & Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, procurement, supply/inventory operations, or a related field AND procurement-related experience. Education may be substituted with experience on a year-for-year basis.
Other:
Valid driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and able to lift 50 lbs.
Knowledge & Skills
Recordkeeping, inventory control, and inventory systems.
Equipment, surplus property, and transportation methods.
Marketing, sales, and customer consultation.
Applicable state, federal, and agency regulations.
Abilities
Communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Represent the agency at federal, state, and local levels.
Analyze needs and recommend effective solutions.
Compile reports and maintain accurate documentation.
Develop and maintain strong working relationships.
