Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive buyer to support purchasing, inventory management, and vendor coordination activities. This role is responsible for obtaining supplier quotes, issuing purchase orders, managing inventory levels across multiple locations, and helping ensure the business maintains the right stock at the right time.
Key Responsibilities
Obtain pricing, lead times, and availability quotes from vendors
Issue purchase orders and track order status to ensure timely delivery
Manage inventory levels at warehouse and consignment locations
Maintain appropriate parts inventory to support business needs
Determine reorder points and stock levels based on demand patterns and usage trends
Support demand planning activities to help optimize inventory investment and product availability
Build and maintain strong vendor relationships
Perform inventory cycle counts and assist with inventory accuracy initiatives
Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies as needed
Create and maintain lists of potential sources of supply
Qualifications
Previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment preferred
Experience with NetSuite preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and vendor relationship management skills
