Software Engineer, Zero Trust Capabilities

In this role, you will join the JBLOCKS Endpoint Services team to develop new capabilities that support Zero Trust across multiple domains. You will help shape software that strengthens security, improves interoperability, and supports mission needs in environments where reliability and precision matter every day.

Here’s What Your Day‑to‑Day Could Include

Develop new JBLOCKS capabilities in support of Zero Trust

Work with developers and stakeholders to elicit requirements and translate them into technical solutions

Manage and support a single baseline across multiple domains

Define, manage, and deliver capabilities within an existing team environment

Contribute throughout the software lifecycle, from development through testing, integration, and sustainment

Provide input into software design decisions, reuse strategies, and system‑to‑component requirements analysis

Work with leadership, customers, and interfacing teams to keep delivery aligned with mission needs

Minimum Qualifications

Clearance: Top Secret Clearance with Full Scope Polygraph, must be active. We do not have the ability to sponsor clearances

Citizenship: Must be a U.S. Citizen. We cannot sponsor visas

Technical Bachelors Degree and 12 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma and 16 years of relevant experience.

Required Skills

Java development experience

Familiarity with PKI and REST services

Linux experience

Experience containerizing existing software capabilities using Docker

Experience reviewing and testing software components for adherence to design requirements and documenting test results

Experience performing development in the Evo environment, including familiarity with tools in that environment such as Graybox

Experience using GitLab, CI/CD, and build pipelines

Ability to provide specific input to software design including hardware and software trade‑offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis from system level to individual components

Experience performing software lifecycle activities to ensure system performance, availability, and compliance with business requirements

Experience administering, maintaining, and implementing policies and procedures that ensure the security and integrity of the application

Knowledge of EDH1 and EDH2, ISM, CAPCO, and CUI standards

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts

Ability to write technical documentation including wiki sites, blogs, and XML or HTML

Strong organization and time management skills, including the ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines

Experience engaging with leadership, customers, and interfacing teams

Desired Skills

Experience supporting Zero Trust software capabilities in mission environments

Experience working across multiple domains with a shared baseline

Ability to balance security, performance, and usability in enterprise software

Comfort working in a collaborative environment with minimal supervision

Compensation Range: $207,000.00 - $266,000.00
*The salary range provided reflects an estimate based on current market trends and may be adjusted based on factors such as the candidate's experience, skills, and qualifications. The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role. Please note that this range is intended as a guideline and is subject to flexibility.
