Responsibilities

Prepare agendas for Board meetings, including committee and special task force meetings; prepare minutes, audio files, and review final orders.

Schedule probable cause panels, manage the agendas for those panels, and prepare the minutes of those meetings.

Communicate verbally and in writing with the general public, medical community, applicants, and licensees, providing guidance regarding the regulatory process.

Evaluate policies and procedures and recommend changes to improve processes and efficiency.

Review and process applications, ensuring compliance with licensing procedures; assist colleagues as needed.

Ensure application processing and eligibility decisions are completed in accordance with established criteria and time frames of laws and rules.

Monitor the accuracy and timeliness of application and licensure data entered into electronic databases; enforce security procedures to protect confidentiality.

Maintain the Board’s internet website and keep all supporting technology up to date and functional.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Compile, organize, and analyze data.

Investigate, analyze, and resolve complaints.

Understand and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies, and procedures for licensing and regulation of professionals and consumer protection.

Provide consultative assistance to others.

Plan, organize, and coordinate work activities.

Communicate effectively.

Establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Must be physically present in the office to effectively perform job duties and responsibilities.

Location
Southwood area of Tallahassee, Capital Circle Office Complex, 4042 Bald Cypress Way, Tallahassee, FL 32399. Fully on-site position; employees required to work from Tallahassee office five days per week with no regular telework or remote option.
