Responsibilities
The incumbent serves as the Team Lead for the Board of Pharmacy and assists the Program Operations Administrator with Team Lead duties. The employee performs complex administrative duties and independently reviews and evaluates applications within the board office. The role requires a high level of independent judgment, attention to detail, and adherence to deadlines. The incumbent must be able to interpret Florida laws and rules. This position is supervised by the Program Operations Administrator.

Assist with development and finalization of the agenda for board and committee meetings.

Manage pre-board activities to ensure records are complete and confidential information is redacted; review agenda materials, disciplinary and probation cases, licensee application files, and other items to be considered.

Ensure agendas, addenda, and supplemental materials are copied, assembled, and distributed within mandated timeframes.

Update the board’s web page with Orders on Petition for Declaratory Statement as directed by the Executive Director.

Publish meeting notices in the Florida Administrative Register and prepare the public agenda book for board and committee meetings.

Notify respondents, applicants, and their counsels of appearance dates; communicate with the public and attorneys verbally and in writing.

Coordinate probable cause panel meeting dates and panel members; perform related administrative duties, attend and record minutes, post public agendas and books, and ensure closing orders are signed by the Executive Director.

Handle post-board activities including processing Final Orders and applying correct violation and closure codes; file supplemental documents with the agency clerk in a timely manner; post minutes and audio recordings to the board’s website; ensure data accuracy for Board Cost.

Collaborate with the Web Support Department to post meeting details and maintain contact information on the website.

Prepare travel authorizations and reimbursement forms; maintain the Board member contact list.

Coordinate with the Bureau of Operations for meeting accommodations, court reporter needs, and related logistics.

Prepare yearly meeting calendar and notify staff of impending deadlines for board materials.

Independently review and evaluate pharmacist certification applications (immunization, test and treat, and collaborative practice).

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to understand and apply Florida Statutes, rules, policies and procedures for licensing and regulation of professionals and consumer protection.

Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Minimum Qualifications

Must be physically present in the office to effectively perform job duties and responsibilities.

Where You Will Work
Office location: Southwood area of Tallahassee, Capital Circle Office Complex, 4042 Bald Cypress Way, Tallahassee, FL 32399. This is a fully on-site position based in Tallahassee. On-site work five days per week with no regular telework.
