Description
The Imaging Clerk is responsible for providing customer service to all patients, physicians and visitors as well as provide clerical duties for the Imaging Department.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Meets and greets all patients/customers in a courteous manner and answers any questions.
Answers all incoming calls in a timely manner. Schedules outpatient exams within the scheduling module.
Verifies that all information on exam requests are correct and matches the physicians order.
Notifies appropriate modality of patient's arrival.
Transports patients as needed.
Charts exam reports on all nursing and ancillary units.
Ensures that the waiting area is kept neat and orderly at all times.
Files master film jackets properly and promptly.
Checks films in and out following policies and procedures.
Follows up on films that have not been returned in a timely manner.
Delivers reports to the emergency room from the radiologist.
Burns CD's for patient that are being referred to another physician.
Collects all incoming DC discs and sends them to be downloaded into our PAC's system.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in a health care setting preferred

Required:
High School or better.
