Gastroenterology NP/PA opening Äì Mountain Home, ArkansasLocated in northern Arkansas in the Ozark Mountains Position Details FT, permanent position Clinic-based Advanced Nurse Practitioner role Works under a Collaborative Agreement with a Physician Provides direct, comprehensive, preventative, and therapeutic care to patients and families Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, counseling, and patient education Practice conducted in compliance with Nurse Practitioner protocols and all applicable APRN regulations Clinic operates 10 Äì12 hours per day, 5 Äì7 days per week Potential for evenings, weekends, holidays, and work during inclement weather Requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing MSN required Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience Current Arkansas APRN license in good standing Active DEA license Board eligible/board certified as applicable Certifications BLS required ACLS required within first 6 months of employment PALS required within first year of employment Clinical & Technical Skills Basic computer proficiency required Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Experience with EMR systems, population health portals, and clinical databases Compliance & Verification Primary source verification through Arkansas State Board of Nursing or NURSYS Position designated as safety sensitive per Arkansas Act 593 (Medical Marijuana regulations) Physical Requirements Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and twist for 8 Äì12 hours per shift Occasional lifting of 50+ pounds of equipment Ability to push wheelchairs exceeding 150 pounds with patient and equipment Ability to assist with lifting patients weighing 125+ pounds using proper body mechanics Extended periods of computer use (8+ hours) Ability to respond rapidly in emergency situations, including CPR Capacity to manage high-acuity, high-stress clinical situations with composure Full sensory acuity required to respond to patient condition changes and equipment alarms Work Environment Outpatient clinic setting Fast-paced environment requiring flexibility and reliability
