Job Purpose
As a Technical Operations Engineer, you will be a critical ball carrier influencing Honda’s success in the Solution System Division. This role will lead multiple technical and general services in prototyping, proof of concept, deployment, logistics, procurement, safety, and facility. You will be expected to provide outstanding leadership, decision making, customer services, and delivery of business requests from internal and external Honda.
Key Accountabilities
Technical Operations Project Leader. Hold weekly team meetings and daily standing huddles to keep work in progress efficient and high quality. Report schedules to keep build events and report cost. Lead in‑house capability. Manage machining center, rapid prototyping lab, and metrology clean room. 2D/3D data transfer, file management and conversions. Prototype supplier selection based on capability, cost, and schedule. New supplier vetting and setup.
Lead Operations as part of the logistics responsibility, performing efficient and cost‑effective operations is of utmost importance in our modern and competitive business space. Prepare and deploy prototype vehicles, gas and battery technologies, and parts to domestic and international destinations. Communicate with Honda suppliers, US and international customs agencies, and freight carriers. Manage the supply and transportation to deliver the shipments on time and in good shape. Perform receiving capability at a high level.
Lead rapid prototyping operations and FDM machines. Design jigs, fixtures, and simple parts in Catia. Duties include maintenance, calibration and repair as needed. Also prioritize jobs, optimize build schedules, and deliver in spec plastic prototype parts to meet research and development requirements. Setup jobs using advanced techniques in STL file manipulation with Stratasys Insight.
Facility Lead and Safety Person In Charge. Responsible for managing safety training, radiation safety officer, housekeeping, and facility visitors. Manage vehicle, equipment, and capex inventories and reporting. Maintaining AED and consumables.
Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelor degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in related field.
Minimum Experience:
8 or more years of experience. Engineer with capability to lead team as well as manage operations, logistics, people and resources.

Decisions Expected
Lead approvals of multi‑stop international hazardous shipments, off load multimillion dollar prototype vehicles safely and verify no damage occurs, and return shipment on time
Based on customer and business requirements, based on QCD, lead vendor approvals and procurement decisions as well as budget
Balance work priorities, resolve conflicts, and manage risk
Create Strategies in deployment, procurement, and prototyping required to achieve company initiatives
Working Conditions
Travel: Average of 2 times per year, possibility for overseas travel
Physical: Primarily works at office and shop; frequent kneeling, standing, squatting, reaching or bending.
Hazards: Risks found in a typical office & shop setting. May be exposed to chemicals or machinery.
Overtime: Overtime expected based on project demands
Maintains professional conduct and follows all departmental, safety, and company policies, procedures, and rules.
