260864**Scope:*** This is a highly strategic, pure operations and infrastructure leadership role. It does not involve building data pipelines, ETL, or data models.* You will act as the ultimate technical authority for platform reliability, security, and governance, administering the underlying Snowflake infrastructure that supports globally distributed, multi-tenant SaaS applications operating at petabyte scale.* The role demands deep expertise in systems administration, securing network perimeters, managing automated identity lifecycles, and engineering massive-scale cost-governance frameworks across dozens of federated Snowflake accounts.**Technical Environment:*** Platform Infrastructure: Multi-Org/Multi-Account management, Multi-tenant Data-as-a-Service (DaaS) sharding topologies, Serverless Compute governance, Snowflake Cortex & Snowpark Container Services (SPCS) compute administration.* Identity & Access Lifecycle: OAuth 2.0 (External & Custom Clients), Machine-to-Machine (M2M) Authentication, Identity Provider (IdP) integration (Azure AD B2C, Okta, Entra ID), SCIM provisioning, Automated Key-Pair rotation, Tri-Secret Secure administration.* Enterprise Security & Network Posture: Zero-Trust Network Rules, AWS PrivateLink / Azure Private Link / Google Cloud Private Service Connect, Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC), Hierarchical RBAC, Dynamic Data Masking, Row Access Policies, Audit Logging & Access History forensics.* Global Business Continuity (BC/DR): Account-level Replication, Client Redirect, Cross-Region/Cross-Cloud Failover Groups, strict RPO/RTO SLA enforcement, Storage fail-safe and Time Travel retention management.* FinOps & Compute Governance: Enterprise-wide compute right-sizing, programmatic Object Tagging for cost attribution, Organization Account Usage analytics, Resource Monitor enforcement, and concurrency scaling parameters.* Platform Operations (DataOps): Terraform (IaC) for account and object provisioning, system-level automation scripting (Python/SnowSQL), Notification Integrations, External Storage Integrations (AWS IAM/Azure Managed Identities).**What you’ll do:*** Design & Architect: Define scalable, petabyte-scale data lakehouse architectures. Establish enterprise coding standards, hierarchical RBAC models, and data security best practices.* Develop & Deliver: Architect multi-cluster compute topologies for high-concurrency workloads. Build low-latency integrations with external compute engines and catalogs.* Guide & Govern: Provide technical leadership to data engineers. Lead technical whiteboarding sessions and data strategy workshops with business stakeholders.* Operate & Optimize: Implement robust FinOps monitoring, compute quotas, and warehouse right-sizing routines. Perform deep root-cause analysis on chronic platform contention issues.**What we are looking for:*** Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.* 9–12 years of core IT/Database Operations experience, with a minimum of 5–7+ years operating explicitly as a Lead Snowflake Administrator or Cloud DBA in a Fortune 500 or multi-tenant SaaS environment.* Strictly Admin Focused: This role requires a background in systems administration, database administration (DBA), or cloud infrastructure. Candidates whose primary background is Data Engineering or ETL development will not be a fit.* Mastery of Snowflake’s security models, specifically concerning programmatic API access, Oauth 2.0 configuration, SCIM, and automated credential rotation.* Deep expertise in resolving complex Snowflake concurrency issues, managing queuing logic, and debugging systemic infrastructure bottlenecks via query profiling.* Advanced scripting skills (Python, bash, SnowSQL) specifically utilized for systems administration, platform automation, and integrating with CI/CD pipelines (Terraform).* Certifications: *SnowPro Advanced: Administrator* is heavily preferred. Active cloud administration certifications (AWS SysOps/Azure Administrator) are a significant plus.**Our Values**All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.
