About The Role
The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for implementing client‑specific behavior intervention plans and skill acquisition programs under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). This role focuses on delivering direct, face‑to‑face behavioral services, collecting accurate data, and supporting clients in developing independent, age‑appropriate skills. The RBT works closely with clients, families, and treatment teams to promote skill generalization and reduce the need for ongoing services while maintaining professionalism and compassion in all interactions.
Responsibilities
Implement face‑to‑face behavioral analytic interventions and skill acquisition programs as outlined in the Treatment Plan
Accurately and consistently collect behavioral and skill acquisition data during sessions
Provide support and model interventions for parents, teachers, and community members
Deliver positive reinforcement strategies to clients and families
Communicate effectively with team members to support client goals and progress
Adhere strictly to Individualized Treatment Plans to prevent dependency on services
Maintain professional boundaries with clients and families at all times
Provide culturally competent and inclusive services
Complete required training curriculum in accordance with company and state standards
Participate in clinical meetings, supervision sessions, and incorporate supervisor feedback
Follow safety and crisis protocols as outlined in client‑specific plans
Maintain timely and accurate session documentation in electronic health record systems
Maintain active RBT certification, including supervision hours and annual competency requirements
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be at least 18 years of age
Ability to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through BACB (assistance provided upon hire)
Ability to follow treatment plans and implement behavioral interventions
Strong communication and documentation skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all client interactions
