French – Generalist Voice Actor (AI Training)
What if your voice could directly shape how AI communicates with millions of French speakers around the world? We're looking for talented French voice actors to record high-quality audio and evaluate AI-generated speech — helping train the next generation of AI systems to sound natural, expressive, and authentically human.
Job Details
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: Flexible – work on your own schedule
About the Role
This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No AI background needed — just a commanding French voice, professional delivery, and a sharp ear for quality. This role does not involve voice cloning of any kind.
What You'll Do
Record clear, high-fidelity French audio using provided scripts and prompts
Evaluate AI-generated speech for naturalness, accuracy, tone, and expressiveness
Provide structured, constructive feedback to help improve synthesized voice quality
Review and refine scripts to ensure they sound natural and are easy to deliver
Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule
Who You Are
Full fluency in spoken French — native or near-native
Prior experience in voice acting, narration, audiobooks, dubbing, or comparable audio work
Access to professional recording equipment and a quiet, acoustically suitable recording space
Able to deliver consistently engaging, expressive, and well-articulated performances
Sharp ear for pronunciation, tone, pacing, and overall vocal clarity
Detail-oriented when evaluating the quality and naturalness of speech
No prior AI or tech experience required
Nice to Have
Experience with voice-over direction or self-directed studio recording
Familiarity with audio editing tools or DAWs
Knowledge of regional French variations — Parisian, Québécois, Belgian, Swiss, or otherwise
Background in broadcasting, theatre, linguistics, or communications
Why Join Us
Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside world class research labs and Fortune 500 companies
Fully remote and flexible — record and review on a schedule that works for you
Freelance autonomy paired with meaningful, clearly structured work
Make a direct, lasting impact on how AI understands and produces human speech in French
Gain first-hand exposure to advanced large language models and modern AI speech training
