Job Summary
May Mobility is entering an exciting phase of growth and our team is expanding quickly. We are looking for a Lead Program Manager to be the link between all vehicle development stakeholders including Safety, Vehicle Engineering, Autonomy, Manufacturing, Quality, Business Development and Operations. This role will report directly to the Sr. Manager of Program Management and will be responsible for communicating and coordinating the work to meet target deliverables and timing at each program milestone for one or several Autonomous Vehicle platforms.
Essential Responsibilities
Independently sets timelines and goals for large‑scale Autonomous Vehicle development programs and/or other large‑scale initiatives that involve cross‑departmental collaboration
Manage program timelines and track status of deliverables from the Product Definition until the OK to Launch phase for one or multiple Autonomous Vehicle programs
Identify dependencies across tasks and program teams to ensure continuous alignment
Anticipate risks and work with stakeholders to identify and execute mitigation plans
Communicate with partner vehicle OEM to align program plans to elevate vehicle issues
Implement and manage change when necessary to meet desired outputs
Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and solutions
Champion prioritization of safety and quality
Support engineering leaders in continuous improvement of the vehicle development and program management process
Develop and leverage relationships across functions to ensure clear communication and seamless follow‑through
Skills and Abilities
Ability to see the "big picture" while also being willing to do essential daily tasks to complete objectives
Ability to multitask and prioritize
Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn; ability to translate technical ideas to non‑technical audiences
Qualifications and Experience
Required
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or Product Development discipline
7‑10 years of experience in program management working with complex products
A passion for both process and people‑oriented solutions and strong organizational skills
Desirable
PMP Certification
Experience working with ADAS or Vehicle Control products
Previous experience working for a high‑growth and mission‑driven startup
Experience working with Japanese Automotive OEM or Suppliers
Physical Requirements
Standard office working conditions which includes but is not limited to:
Prolonged sitting
Prolonged standing
Prolonged computer use
Travel required? - Moderate: 0%-10%
