About This Position
The Medical Assistant will manage patient flow throughout the clinic and assist providers in the management and treatment of their patients. The role requires handling patients of all ages, from infants to geriatric patients. Supportive and delegated tasks are performed in collaboration with the Clinic Supervisor, Clinic Manager, and Providers. Communication with the health care team concerning progress, concerns, questions or problems that arise is an essential element of the role.
Unit based skills list outlines specific expectations including technical procedures with competency assessment and validation. Skill and competency validations will occur upon hire and on a schedule determined by Blaze Health.

Requirements
Education
High School graduate or equivalent (GED) required
Graduate of a Medical Assistant program accredited by a recognized accrediting organization (e.g., Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools) with on‑job experience and training OR
Graduate of a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) program accredited by a national health services organization (e.g., American Medical Technologists) with on‑job experience and training and passing the RMA certification exam.
Experience
Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred.
Passed X‑Ray Operator’s examination, or willing to take exam according to individual clinic needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks efficiently.
Knowledge of computer software applications.
Licensure/Certification
Current BLS Certification
Registered Medical Assistant certification required if RMA program attended

Salary Range: B11 ($19.76 - $29.64), based on experience
Shift Differential: Compensation may include shift differential pay depending on the position and shift worked.
