Job Overview
We are looking for an Electrical Substation Design Engineer to join a leading digital energy solutions company. This role will be responsible for designing and supporting substation projects, ensuring technical excellence, compliance with industry standards, and successful project execution.
Responsabilities
Design electrical substations, including layout, equipment selection, and Protection & Control systems
Develop and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation
Support project planning, schedules, and execution to meet deadlines and budget
Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to align project requirements
Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and safety regulations
Provide technical support during procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
Identify risks and support problem‑solving during project execution
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
5+ years of experience in electrical substation design
Strong knowledge of substation engineering, equipment, and Protection & Control systems
Experience with tools such as AutoCAD, ETAP, PrimTECH, or PLS‑CADD
Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, project‑driven environment
Experience working with utilities or EPC companies
Exposure to medium and high‑voltage substation projects
Professional Engineer (PE) license (preferred but not required)
Applicants must be authorized in the United States
