Summary:
This position is responsible for Industrial Hygiene activities in the USA. The role of the Industrial Hygienist is to ensure that all Occupational Health (IH) related programs for Rogers facilities in the USA are implemented and managed to meet regulatory compliance and Rogers best practice guidelines. This is a corporate role that will also be responsible for maintaining and continuously improving environmental, health and safety management systems.

Essential Functions:

Develops, implements, leads, and audits US IH programs and policies.

Determines sampling strategy and conducts workplace monitoring to meet regulatory requirements and Rogers’ guidance, ensuring a safe work environment.

Manages the annual IH surveys at all Rogers US locations, including equipment management, lab coordination, report writing and employee notifications.

Analyzes/interprets sampling data results and compares them to exposure limits (e.g., PELs, ALSs, STELs, TLVs).

Identifies and recommends controls to reduce exposure levels.

Assesses new materials entering the manufacturing environment to evaluate potential health threats and ensures appropriate precautions.

Maintains current understanding of material hazards, regulations and best practice.

Develops and conducts training/mentoring on core IH principles for site EHS engineers and factory employees.

Performs all other duties as assigned by manager.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health/Management, or certification by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (or equivalent work experience).

2+ years of experience in Industrial Hygiene or a related field, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of OSHA, NIOSH, ANSI, and ACGIH standards.

Knowledge of ventilation systems.

Effective communication skills and comfort providing training for groups of employees and mentoring IH compliance programs to EHS professionals.
