Scope of Work
The New Hampshire Veterans Home seeks a registered nurse to provide high‑quality, compassionate care to residents in a long‑term care setting. The role includes clinical duties, medication administration, care planning, and staff oversight according to state and agency standards.

Responsibilities – RN I

Perform general nursing duties in the care and treatment of residents.

Observe, compile, and report information concerning residents’ wellbeing to ensure continual quality care.

Responsibilities – RN II

Perform general nursing duties and apply professional nursing standards.

Make recommendations for residents’ wellness, healthcare, and treatment plans.

Responsibilities – RN III

Provide care and treatment for residents in a long‑term care facility setting.

Administer medication, develop comprehensive medical treatment and care plans.

Oversee and train RN I and II staff in accordance with policies, procedures and nursing standards.

Your Experience Counts
Each additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and vice versa.

Minimum Qualifications – RN I

Graduation from a recognized nursing program with affiliate or postgraduate courses and clinical experience in medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, and psychiatric nursing.

Experience limited to that required for registration.

Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.

Minimum Qualifications – RN II

Graduation from a recognized nursing program with affiliate or postgraduate courses and clinical experience in medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, and psychiatric nursing.

One year’s experience as a registered nurse in a residential or long‑term care setting.

Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.

Minimum Qualifications – RN III

Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.

Additional qualifications and experience listed for RN II.

Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
