PATIENT TRANSPORTER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Patient Transporter
Location
Prisma Health Greenville – 701 Grove Road, Greennville, SC 29605 (online applications accepted only).
Schedule
Full-time and part-time positions. Hours and days vary, including rotating weekends.
Pay
$18.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Properly and safely transport patients, secure IVs, drainage tubes, and other medical equipment.
Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to carry out duties.
Demonstrate competency in transporting patients of all age groups.
Ensure safe, timely and accurate transport to destinations using the proper equipment.
Communicate effectively with nursing personnel, clinicians, technicians, or reception and dispatch.
Maintain patient comfort, provide blankets, check modesty, and engage only in appropriate conversation; do not transport patients in severe pain.
Alert nursing staff to signs of patient distress or equipment malfunction.
Maintain equipment and report items that need repairs.
Comply with federal, state, and JCAHO regulatory standards.
Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
