
PATIENT TRANSPORTER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Location: Children's Hospital Colorado – Anschutz Campus, 13123 East 16th Avenue, Aurora, CO 80045.
Pay: $17.00–$19.50 per hour, paid training. Full‑time and part‑time schedules; Monday‑Friday with rotating weekends, 5, 8 or 10‑hour shifts.
Job Summary
As a Patient Transporter, you will ensure the safe, timely, and accurate transport of patients, medical equipment, and related items to their designated destinations within the hospital.
Responsibilities
Transport patients and secure IVs or drainage tubes during movement.
Use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to assist patients of all age groups.
Maintain patient comfort and safety, offering blankets, checking modesty, and engaging in appropriate conversation.
Notify nursing staff immediately of any patient distress or equipment malfunction.
Maintain and report equipment needing repair.
Adhere to regulatory agency standards, including federal, state, and JCAHO guidelines.
Follow facility confidentiality and HIPAA policies.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Prior healthcare experience preferred.
Ability to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
Florida Level 2 background screening may be required for certain positions.
