
Training Specialist

Edgewater Federal Solutions is seeking a Training Specialist to support a major national laboratory.
The successful candidate shall deliver training programs and workshops to employees and managers. They will monitor the effectiveness of training on employees using individual or group performance results. Collect feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation. They shall contribute to new training program design and existing program enhancements. Develop new training programs and enhance existing ones. Specialize in specific subjects or functions and contribute to organizational goals through training validation and modifications. Additionally, develop and create lesson plans and training aids. May specialize in a particular subject, training program, or function. Training programs may typically include topics such as supervisory/management training, work skills training, team building, and communications.
Responsibilities
Deliver training & up‑skilling to new and existing employees
Maintain, Update and Socialize knowledgebase articles
Analyze current ticket trending, problems, and changes to ensure knowledgebase articles are sufficient and timely.
Work independently & effectively while maintaining positive productivity levels
Develop & maintain training documentation, aids, videos & resources.
Assess instructional effectiveness & summarize evaluation reports determining the impact of training on employee skills.
Provide training to all team members based on contractual requirements or observed needs.
Monitor training completions and ensure training assignments are completed in a timely manner.
Collaborate with management, IT Partners and other team members to document needs, educational opportunities for staff and potential educational gaps and develop an approach for addressing the needs of the workforce.
Other duties may be assigned
Qualifications
Associates in relevant discipline plus a minimum 2 years, or more, of directly related experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform the duties
Related experience may be substituted for relevant education and vice versa.
Ability to obtain & maintain a U.S. Dept. of Energy Clearance
U.S. Citizenship is required.
Required Skills
Must have a working knowledge of PC operations which include hardware, network settings, operating system, & MS Office applications.
6 months of customer help desk experience
Intermediate to expert virtual desk expertise (related to equipment connectivity for computing customer). Ability to type 35 WPM
