Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role for an Adjunct Dance Professor, based in Bedford, NH. The Adjunct Dance Professor will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative, inclusive, and engaging dance coursework. This includes developing curriculum and lesson plans, teaching a variety of dance styles, conducting rehearsals, and mentoring students on technique, choreography, and performance. The role involves creating a supportive and collaborative environment to encourage artistic expression and personal growth in students.
Qualifications
Expertise in various dance disciplines, such as contemporary, ballet, jazz, and modern dance, tap and musical theater
Strong curriculum planning, lesson design, and instructional skills for dance education
Proficiency in choreography, staging, and guiding students through performance preparation
Demonstrated ability to mentor and inspire students with diverse artistic goals
Excellent communication and collaboration skills with students, faculty, and staff
Bachelor’s degree in Dance, Performing Arts, or a closely related field is preferred but can be other degrees.
Experience teaching dance in a college or similar academic setting is an asset
