Assistant Boys Tennis Coach – Dundee-Crown
Dundee-Crown is seeking a highly motivated individual to assist with the overall management of the boys’ tennis program for the 2026–2027 school year. The candidate must coach at all levels within the program, be organized, flexible, and able to take direction from the head coach and/or direct supervisor. They must also communicate effectively with parents and the Booster Club.
Performance Responsibilities, Requirements, and Qualifications
High school coaching experience is preferred.
Coach all levels within the program and various skill areas.
Organize and oversee specific program levels or areas of responsibility.
Communicate with the Head Coach and/or Athletic Director to secure facilities and ensure a safe practice/competition environment.
Support the philosophy and programmatic instruction of sequential fundamentals and proper conditioning as communicated by the head coach.
Plan and coordinate practice sessions and competition strategies with the head coach, ensuring the health and physical well‑being of the student participants.
Coordinate all in‑season practices with the head coach and Athletic Director.
Ensure all student participants at the assigned program level are in compliance with D300 and IHSA requirements, including current athletic physical, Code of Conduct, fees paid, and academic eligibility prior to practice, tryout, and competition.
Model and instill the values of sportsmanship and fair play to all participants and enforce consequences for any breaches of those standards.
Attend all student‑athlete practices, games, and monitor proper supervision at all practices, games, and on school‑provided transportation.
Maintain and provide the head coach with end‑of‑season individual and team records and statistics.
Participate in a mandatory preseason parent meeting.
Assist the head coach in planning the seasonal recognition program.
Assist in the orderly distribution and collection of uniforms and equipment.
Engage in personal professional development activities.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or Athletic Director.
