
Mental Health Technician I IPF

Job Summary: We are seeking a Mental Health Technician to join our healthcare team. Your primary function is to assist in the coordination of nursing/psychiatric care provided in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
In this role you will
Observe, report, and document patient’s physiological and psychological status by using the nursing process based upon established hospital policies and procedures, unit specific policies and procedures, and/or Standards of Care/Practice.
Provide and document information on patient care.
Assist patients with activities of daily living; attend to patient behavioral problems and provides assistance in crisis intervention, as needed.
Serve as the patient and family advocate with respect to the patient\'s right to privacy by protecting confidential information.
Follow established guidelines for reporting a significant medical error or unanticipated outcome in the patient’s care which results in patient harm or potential harm.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Vocational or Technical Degree such as Emergency Medical Technician is preferred
2 Year Associates Degree preferred
BLS within 90 days of employment required
One year of experience preferred
