PHLEBOTOMIST FLOAT
Labcorp is seeking a Phlebotomist Float to join our team in Annapolis, MD and surrounding areas.
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am - 6:00pm (hours vary); every other Saturday 8:00am - 12:00pm
Job Responsibilities
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administer administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
Phlebotomy certification or 6 months of phlebotomy experience
Additional Job Standards
In lieu of work experience, a Phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency may meet requirements
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test
Travel to additional sites
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record with reliable transportation
Be at least 21 years old
Benefits
Sign on Bonus $1500.00 (external applicants only)
Pay Range: $17.75 - $26.00 per hour
Float Incentive: Additional $1.00/hr plus mileage reimbursement
PST may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics
Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off, Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled less than 20 hours are eligible only for the 401(k) Plan.
