Job Description
Sodexo is seeking a passionate and service‑driven Food Services Manager to join our team at Penn State Health’s flagship 628‑bed academic medical center, the Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA.

Schedule

Varied shifts between 5:00 AM and 8:00 PM

Includes alternating weekends and holidays

Day, evening, and occasional night shift coverage as needed

What You'll Do
The Food Services Manager will oversee patient dining operations and play a key role in supporting Sodexo’s mission of delivering exceptional service and clinical dining innovation.

Responsibilities Include

Provide leadership and direction for patient meal services across multiple patient care units

Oversee HealthTouch platform execution, patient rounding, room service model, and traditional meal delivery systems

Manage daily patient services operations, ensuring appropriate staffing, equipment, and inventory levels

Delegate, prioritize, and monitor day‑to‑day team activities and operational standards

Implement and communicate quality improvement initiatives and operating procedures

Conduct Gold Check audits and prepare operational performance reports

Build strong client relationships with hospital leadership and interdisciplinary teams

Support Sodexo’s role as a system flagship site piloting menu innovation and patient service enhancements

Foster a culture of inclusion, engagement, and employee retention

What You Bring

Experience managing high‑volume food service operations and large teams

Strong background in patient dining or healthcare food service preferred

Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop frontline staff

Excellent customer service and client relationship skills

Knowledge of food safety standards and regulatory compliance

Union experience preferred
