Summary
We are a small Montessori school in Fall City looking for a Montessori Trained Teacher. The position starts no later than August 25, 2025. This role is a good fit for a self-motivated teacher who seeks a positive, supportive work environment and wants to contribute to a cohesive teaching team.
Duties
Coordinate and implement Montessori curriculum by developing classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards
Lead by example; encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching.
Plan individual and group age-appropriate activities that actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
Maintain frequent communications with parents through informal discussions, daily updates, weekly newsletters, and parent-teacher conferences.
Ensure all center policies and state regulations are met.
Ensure a healthy classroom environment—maintaining appropriate hygiene, cleanliness, and safety and security of children.
Supervise teacher assistants and classroom volunteers.
Document student progress through on-line record-keeping program.
Maintain a personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement.
Requirements
AMS, AMI, or MACTE Montessori Teaching Certificate
Strong work ethic and desire for long-term employment
Good oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills
High energy and ability to work well with others (staff, children, parents) and foster a team environment
Strong understanding of child development
Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification
Background check and fingerprinting
30 Hour STARS Basic Training or ECE Certificate
Food Workers Card
Bloodborne Pathogens Training
TB Test
Immunization records
Must currently live in the United States
