PATIENT INFORMATION
• Patient Demographics: Adults
• Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 16 patients per day
• Case Mix: Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, vasculitis, gout, and connective tissue disorders
FACILITY INFORMATION
• Facility Type: Outpatient Rheumatology Clinics
• Office Equipment Available: Standard rheumatology clinic equipment
• Specialty Backup Available: Multispecialty Lee Health network
• Support Staff Available: Pharmacy staff, Medical Assistants (MA), and Customer Service Representatives (CSR)
• Reason for Coverage: Supplemental locum coverage across ambulatory rheumatology sites
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
• Additional Compliance: Provider must obtain NICA coverage for 2026 and submit proof of payment

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
• Evaluation and management of rheumatologic conditions
• Ordering and interpretation of laboratory testing
• Ordering and interpretation of imaging and diagnostic studies
• Management of chronic autoimmune and inflammatory disorders
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• Licenses: Active Florida Medical License
• Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
• DEA: Required
• Certifications: BLS (AHA required)
• Experience: Prior outpatient rheumatology experience preferred
• Other Qualifications: Updated CV and attestation required for submission; telehealth experience not required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provide outpatient rheumatology care for new and established patients
• Diagnose and treat autoimmune and inflammatory conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and gout
• Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
• Manage daily in-basket messages and patient communications
• Deliver care across multiple Lee Health outpatient rheumatology clinic locations
