PATIENT INFORMATION
Patient Demographics: Adults
Patient Volume/Census: Approximately 16 patients per day
Case Mix: Rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriatic arthritis, vasculitis, gout, and connective tissue disorders
FACILITY INFORMATION
Facility Type: Outpatient Rheumatology Clinics
Office Equipment Available: Standard rheumatology clinic equipment
Specialty Backup Available: Multispecialty Lee Health network
Support Staff Available: Pharmacy staff, Medical Assistants (MA), and Customer Service Representatives (CSR)
Reason for Coverage: Supplemental locum coverage across ambulatory rheumatology sites
PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE
Additional Compliance: Provider must obtain NICA coverage for 2026 and submit proof of payment

REQUIRED PROCEDURES
Evaluation and management of rheumatologic conditions
Ordering and interpretation of laboratory testing
Ordering and interpretation of imaging and diagnostic studies
Management of chronic autoimmune and inflammatory disorders
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses: Active Florida Medical License
Board: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology
DEA: Required
Certifications: BLS (AHA required)
Experience: Prior outpatient rheumatology experience preferred
Other Qualifications: Updated CV and attestation required for submission; telehealth experience not required
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide outpatient rheumatology care for new and established patients
Diagnose and treat autoimmune and inflammatory conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, vasculitis, and gout
Order and interpret laboratory tests, imaging, and diagnostic studies
Manage daily in-basket messages and patient communications
Deliver care across multiple Lee Health outpatient rheumatology clinic locations
