Job Summary
FNF Construction is hiring an Onsite Safety Coordinator for a project in Amarillo, TX for a roadway/highway project. This is a 100% onsite, field based position.

Responsibilities
Implement service line safety strategy to minimize project risks.
Emphasize involvement in safety processes from all levels of management and craft.
Promote good safety leadership at all levels of their area.
Set exemplary standards of ethics and stewardship of resources.
Maintain transparent communication across service line, sharing incidents, lessons learned, and performance metrics.
Drive consistency where practical in the safety program across all projects.
Develop monthly safety performance reports covering work hours, indicators, observations, and incident trends.
Assure that all projects have a written safety plan.
Facilitate regulatory visits and provide support for projects during regulatory inquiries.
Evaluate project safety programs, issue recommendations, and implement changes.
Learn to use and continue utilizing Donesafe and Power BI to manage incident and observation information.
Review corrective actions to ensure SMART model compliance.
Participate in tactical planning and support of service line, area, and market sector safety initiatives.
Take an active role in incident investigation and injury case management.
Assure all incident reports have accurate and complete root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Attend project planning events to provide safety support at the earliest phase of projects.
Coordinate with the area director to support safety staffing availability and needs.
Implement and maintain an effective front-line supervisor safety leadership training program.
Conduct documented project inspections to identify at-risk conditions and behaviors.
Conduct documented close-out meetings after site visits to discuss findings and corrective action timelines.
Assure all projects fully comply with corporate safety policies and applicable regulations, including documentation retention and OSHA recordkeeping.
Perform and communicate regular (at least monthly) leading indicators assessments to proactively identify trends and recommend corrective action before a loss occurs.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2+ years of experience.
Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent in onsite safety/heavy civil experience.
Bilingual (Spanish) highly preferred.
Basic construction safety experience with no degree.
OSHA 500 certification, current or willingness to work toward.
(CHST) Construction Health and Safety Technician preferred.
First Aid and CPR instructor Certified, current, or willing to work toward.

Compensation $90,000 - $110,000 a year commensurate with experience.
Per diem of $100 dollars per day worked if not local.
