The training manager is responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating learning and development programs that build employee capacity, support business goals, and strengthen organizational performance.
Key Responsibilities
Training Strategy and Program Design
Develop and execute a corporate training strategy aligned to organizational priorities and workforce needs.
Design and oversee learning programs including onboarding, professional skills, compliance training, and role based development.
Ensure training solutions are learner centered, inclusive, and grounded in adult learning principles.
Team Management
Lead, coach, and develop training staff, facilitators, and or/instructional designers.
Manage vendor relationships and external training partners as needed.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Business Line Partnership
Partner with business line leaders, HR, and subject matter experts to identify skill gaps and learning opportunities.
Consult with leaders to recommend learning solutions that drive performance and engagement.
Communicate program goals, progress, and outcomes to stakeholders.
Program Delivery & Facilitation
Oversee delivery of instructor-led, virtual, and self-paced learning experiences.
Facilitate training sessions and leadership workshops as needed.
Ensure consistent quality and learner experiences across all training formats.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
Establish metrics to evaluate training effectiveness and business impact.
Analyze feedback, learning data, and performance outcomes to improve programs.
Maintain documentation, learning standards, and best practices.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Organizational Development, Adult Learning or related field
5 years’ experience in corporate training, learning and development or talent development
Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design principles
Preferred Skills & Competencies
Proven ability to design and scale learning programs
Strong facilitation and presentation skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and virtual learning techniques
Data driven mindset with experience measuring learning impact
Ability to balance strategy with hands on execution
