Summary
Works closely with patient navigators, clinicians, hospital staff, referring physicians, and insurance carriers while providing administrative and scheduling support throughout the practices.

Job Duties

Obtains all necessary information required to maintain provider schedules.

Maintains overall coordination of provider availability to cover services, including office hours, inpatient and outpatient, scheduled meetings, conferences, and vacation or time off.

Monitors and updates the schedule throughout the day and distributes changes to all affected parties.

Anticipates patients’ expectations and educational needs; answers basic inquiries or directs them to the appropriate area or person.

Monitors use of scheduled time and checks for conflicts.

Updates patient charts and EHR information with pertinent patient and insurance information.

Attends and participates in scheduled contract, committee, and all‑staff meetings.

Minimum Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED.

2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.

Demonstrated initiative.

Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and timely.

Computer skills and word‑processing proficiency.

Knowledge and working use of medical terminology.

Preferred Qualifications

Associate’s Degree.

4 years of experience in a healthcare setting.

Knowledge of physician practice scheduling software.

Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. Frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use. Patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role, including kneeling, bending, squatting, and performing CPR.
