Job Summary
Serve guests in a professional, efficient, and courteous manner. Prepare specified areas for food and beverage service.

Essential Job Functions

Maintain general knowledge of the menu, wine list, and all hotel facilities/services to respond to guest inquiries.

Provide the highest quality of food, beverage, atmosphere, and service.

Quickly address, resolve, and report complaints to ensure guests leave with a positive experience.

Complete side work promptly and in accordance with standards.

Promote strong communication and teamwork between the dining room, kitchen, and other departments.

Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance per Dress Code Standards.

Assist other associates to ensure optimal service to guests.

Foster a cooperative working climate, maximizing productivity and morale.

Perform all assigned job functions, special projects, and tasks.

Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests regardless of time of day.

Maintain knowledge of hotel features, services, outlets, and operating hours.

Practice emergency procedures in compliance with hotel/company standards and assist in emergencies as needed.

Act as an ambassador of the hotel and company in and out of the workplace.

Support Forbes Standards and continuously improve.

Ensure Inn at Perry Cabin philosophy is demonstrated by example.

Observe standards for the department in image, appearance, and grooming; represent the company and profession to outside organizations and the community.

Implement, communicate, and comply with policies of Inn at Perry Cabin and its HR Department.

Maintain confidentiality and security of all guest and hotel information.

Supervisory Responsibilities
None.

Job Requirements
Education & Experience

High school diploma or GED preferred.

At least 1 year of experience in a luxury hotel or fine dining restaurant preferred.

Skills

Communicate information regarding food and beverage to guests.

Work without direct supervision.

Maintain confidentiality of guest and hotel information.

Pay attention to detail.

Prioritize and organize work.

Maintain a flexible schedule according to the needs of the position and business demands.

Working Conditions
Equipment to Be Used

Flip charts, tables, carts, racks, banquet china, glassware, flatware, and silverware.

Formal uniform.

Physical & Mental Requirements

Regularly required to stand for long periods, walk, talk, and hear; use hands for handling and reaching.

Frequently required to lift at least 35 pounds; move equipment or supplies over 75 pounds.

Requires manual dexterity, normal hearing, and vision.

Work Environment

Entire property with exposure to sunlight, high humidity, steam, grease, cleaning agents, and potentially slippery floors.

Involves varying conditions with guests, staff, visitors, and government agencies.

Compensation
$60,000 – $65,000.

Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications, and specific location.
