Role Description
This is a full‑time, on‑site Executive Chef role located in Edison, NJ. The Executive Chef will oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring high‑quality food preparation and service. Responsibilities include designing and updating menus, managing a team of kitchen staff, inventory and vendor management, maintaining food cost controls, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The Executive Chef will also work collaboratively with the restaurant management team to create a memorable dining experience for guests.
Qualifications
Proven expertise in culinary arts, food preparation, and menu planning.
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and direct kitchen staff effectively.
Experience in inventory control, vendor relations, and food cost management.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, as well as sanitation practices in a kitchen environment.
Ability to adapt to various culinary styles and innovate with seasonal and diverse ingredient options.
Excellent organizational and time management skills in a fast‑paced environment.
Formal culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts is preferred.
Previous experience as an Executive Chef or in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry is beneficial.
